Well, I tried to bring this journal up to date tonite from whence it began on 9/06/01, but alas...I lost it all and can only begin from this day forward....the past is not to be repeated!
7:30am
The clouds are breaking up this am and the blue sky reappears. It is amazing how happy I am to see blue sky again, when we have had so little rain and are sooooo thankful when we have rain clouds appear. Ah, the quirks of a gardener!!
But today there may be time for yard clean up. It is close to time to put away the garden dishes and garden furniture. We found a great cedar table at the Swap Shop this week that will replace the bluetop picnic table for eating. The bluetop got ripped after a strong wind whirled the umbrella stand around. But now it can be used for outdoor projects. The wind gusts of autumn have been busy with our umbrellas and tables, but the doors have stood strong against them all and will grace our winter views.
PM
We spent the afternoon finishing the insulation of the loft because the temperature is dropping as I write. Tomorrow will be yard sailing and then hopefully a bright sunny day to work outdoors! But we have a clearer picture now of how we will put the garden and its ammenites to sleep before we set back the clocks tomorrow night and look to the cooler seasons.
